Foundation (VCDC)

 Vernon Child Development Center is located in Big Bend, WI, conveniently close to HWY 164 & I-94. Since 1978, we have provided childcare for the community for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. We have programs divided by age that include childcare for 4 and under, wrap around care for 4K-6th grade, as well as Summer Camp for children ages 5-12 years old.  

In December 2025, we became the Vernon Child Development Center Foundation, a non-profit childcare, continuing the long-standing legacy that began in 1978 when the Vernon Presbyterian Church opened our childcare. With the church closure, it was an opportunity to continue the childcare, under our own ownership.

We are open Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm.

We are closed for major holidays throughout the year to include: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & the day after, as well as Christmas Eve through New Years Day.
