VCDC Mission
Vernon Child Development Center opened in 1978 as a small non-profit childcare, committed to giving back to the community by providing high-quality childcare. We have grown over the years, but still believe in the same values, understanding that we are a partner to our families as they go through the first years of life with their little ones. We believe it is important to be not just be a wonderful space for children, but also for parents. We give support in development, advice, events to connect with others, and so much more! We believe that communication is the key to a successful partnership between VCDC and families.
Our Philosophy
At VCDC, we believe every child deserves a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where they feel supported. Our program encourages learning through play and hands-on experiences, allowing children to explore, ask questions, and develop a lifelong love of discovery. We recognize that each child grows at their own pace, and we are committed to fostering positive, individualized relationships that honor their unique strengths, needs, and stages of development. By partnering with families and embracing the whole child, we help lay the foundation for confidence, curiosity, and success in school and in life.
